Vintage Hull Pottery Brown Drip Glaze Covered Butter Dish.
This butter dish was produced by Hull Pottery, a well-known American pottery company, and is marked "Hull Oven Proof USA" on the bottom.It features Hull's distinctive "Brown Drip" glaze, characterized by a rich brown base with a lighter, often white or tan, "drip" effect around the rim or edges.
Designed to hold a standard stick of butter, it comes with a lid to keep the butter fresh and is described as oven-proof
Bottom plate measures 7 3/4 from handle to handle and 3 1/4 inches wide.
The lid measures 5 3/4 inches long and 21/4 inches wide. It is about 13/4 inches in height.
