Vintage Franconia Krautheim Selb Bavaria German Virginia Flowers Serving Bowl
This delicate pattern of soft pastel flowers strewn in and around the bowl was made in 1964-65. The ruffled rim is lined with a thin royal blue line.
Having been made for such a short period of time, it is a rare pattern to find.
Franconia is the export mark name. Krautheim & Adelberg, which was known as Krautheim porcelain was founded in 1884 by Christoph Krautheim. Richard Adelberg joined the firm later. As with so many potteries and glassworks the late 1900's were a devastating time and the company unfortunately filed for bankruptcy in 1977.
