Loretta Joe (b.1958 - d.2023) Acoma Pueblo Native American Pottery Wedding Vase

This is a hand coiled Wedding Vase with unique designs including bumble bees pollenating flowers and a diamond back and white checkered patter. The vase has an orange, white, and black polychrome color scheme and is hand-painted Acoma pottery! A very nice piece!! Loretta gathers and processes her own clay from the Pueblo of Acoma and uses all natural pigments for her paints made from plants and minerals. Loretta is the granddaughter of Lupe Concho and the daughter of Florence Waconda!Loretta Joe is known for her distinctive style that combines traditional Acoma designs and motifs with contemporary elements. Her work showcases the evolution of Acoma pottery while paying homage to its roots.
