This is a rare original Mattel Hot Wheels collection of 12 cars made between 1989-2005. None of these cars are available anymore (retired), and a few of the cars (along with a free flag man) are from the Track Aces series of 2000. Six of the 12 cars have a metal bottom side, and 6 have acrylic underneath. The 13th car is a very rare 63’ Split-Window Corvette (Sealed by Racing Champions in 2002).
From this collection we have identified a 2nd very rare car and 5 “rare” ones, all with metal under-sides. The “very rare” car is a 31 year old Pontiac Banshee (1989). The others are: Power Pipes, Open Roadster, Overbored 454T, The Gov’ner & Trak-Tune. A 7th car gets honorable mention, an extra 63’ Corvette Sting-Ray.
1 car has a slightly warped front axle: “Shredded” (2004), but rolls fine on track.
It would be almost impossible to duplicate this awesome bundle because they are in excellent condition for their age and no longer manufactured.
