Pair of Satsuma Moriage Dragonware Vases

Set of two matching vintage Japanese Satsuma porcelain urn vases have traditional figural motifs. Dragonware has intricate designs in rich saturated colors using the moriage or “raised enamel” technique, in which diluted slip is carefully applied to the still raw piece. The result is a three dimensional surface. Larger vase 6” tall, 3.5” diameter at widest point. Smaller vase 4.75” tall, 3” diameter. No condition issues.
