Early to mid-century vintage Sango, Moss Rose (Rim Shape) fine china, 12 piece set. Four dinner plates, four salad plates, and four rimmed soup bowls, all in very good shape. Even the gold around the rims is exceptionally shiny and well cared for. Moss Rose patterned china has been extremely popular among ceramic and porcelain collectors since it was first created in the early 1800s. Sometime around 1900, the popularity declined dramatically, but following WWII, was revived, and the popularity for the pattern boomed once more, as designers for Wedgwood, Royal Albert, Haviland, and others took up the torch and created their own spin on the popular Victorian bloom.
