These mini figure model kits are of the Shinsengumi, a historical group of samurai that defended the government in the 1860s.The scenes and poses revolve around a famous sword fight called the Ikedaya Incident.Each box contains a samurai, instructions, a color brochure describing the figure and the fight, and little candies (not recommended to eat).A small amount of assembly is required to complete each scene.The boxes have been opened to examine the contents but the figures have not been assembled or played with...like new and in great condition, most in original packaging.Figures and parts are detailed and very fragile, especially the swords.Set includes the characters Katsura Kogoro, Hajime Saito, Nagakura Shinpachi, Genzaburo Inoue and Hijikata Toshizo (western).Bought in Japan in 2004 and stored.Each figure is 2" -3" tall.
