Absolutely gorgeous tribal/religious necklace. I believe this type of pendant comes from Tibet, but I ask that you message me if I'm wrong. I know the way they're made, however. The maker would round down the original stone and subsequently use lime from crushed seashells. The lime is very basic (opposite of acidic; produces a chemical burn) and leaves the surface white where it's used. PS. This one is in very good condition. I have another where the markings are worn down, whereas this one is almost fresh.
