This is likely a first edition, and it is part of Volland's Read Me a Story books series. There are many signs of age and wear, especially on the cover. The cover also has stains and spotting, and its color is much more of a dark mustard yellow. However, the illustrations are still beautiful and vibrant. There is a string that can come loose, though the pages are not falling out. Additionally, one page was torn out of the back. Overall, the book is still in rather good shape for being nearly 100 years old.
