Tailor Toyo Sukajan faithfully recreates the embroidered jackets, known as souvenir jackets, that were popular as souvenirs among American soldiers stationed in Japan from shortly after the war to the 1960s.
Toyo Enterprises, Inc. (established in 1965), which produces Tailor Toyo, has its roots in Kōshō, a fabric trading company established shortly after the war. In the 1950s, the golden age of the sukajan, Kōshō held a 95% share of the sukajan supply to US military base PXs.
From the birth of the sukajan through its heyday in the 1950s and 60s, and into the 21st century, Tailor Toyo has been the only manufacturer to consistently produce sukajans, boasting a tradition and history of design and know-how.

This sukajan is from 2008, and there are very few in good condition.
It features vintage motifs of maiko, Iwakuni Base, and the US Navy, showcasing the quality that Tailor Toyo is known for.

The size is labeled as S, with actual measurements of approximately 51 cm in width, 50 cm in length from the bottom of the front rib to the collar, and 50 cm in sleeve length from the armpit.
The condition is good for its age, with only a very faint stain on the sleeve as shown in the photo. The zipper is original and functions properly, and the ribs are undamaged.
