This is a stunning black fedora with black/white fabric band and brim edging from the early 1960s'. The tall, rounded top crown is surrounded by an upturned brim, which is edged in a black and white fabric. The same fabric is used to create a draped band around the crown ending in a bow at one side. Inside the hat there are 2 small combs attached at each side to help keep the hat in place. The hat is lined inside with a shiny black fabric. Beautiful!The hat wearing requirement from previous decades was drastically subsiding in the 1960s. Most dressy hats in the 1960s were worn by women who embraced the traditional etiquette rules of wearing hats to match the occasion.
