Eugene (Gene) Schultz, a graduate of Parsons School of Design in New York, founded his jewelry manufacturing business on Fifth Avenue in 1952. Before that, he held various positions in the late 1920s and '30s, including working as a costumer for Broadway productions. He also worked for Cartier hand painting Christmas cards.
