Though shibori has become closely associated with craftspeople in Japan, this method of resist dyeing has been utilized by a variety of cultures throughout centuries, with each culture producing a diverse offering of methods, patterns and colours. Ne-Maki, the method of binding fabric around round objects, produces a distinct circular pattern that is beautiful and random in appearance. To honour this tradition, we worked closely with textile artists to develop and create our own homemade Bather Ne-Maki.The signature Swim Trunk cut features an elasticized waist with an ultra fine four-way stretch mesh lining, quick-dry shell, custom-tipped drawstrings and back pocket snap enclosure.
