This is a genuine military MA-1 from 1977, a US military issue. This model features flap covers on the pockets.
Genuine MA-1s are becoming increasingly rare in vintage shops these days, and their aura is undeniable. This particular jacket is a large size, which is highly sought after recently, and it's hard to find one in this condition from this era.
Made by Alpha Industries, it's a 1977 fiscal year model with no holes in the ribs, which are tightly knit. The nylon portion is in good condition with no damage, making it considerably better than other jackets from the same era.
I've been keeping this jacket in my closet as part of my collection, but I'm selling it due to a need to declutter.
