This small, but powerful brown straw hat from the 1930s' is so unique. The hat is composed of two conical shapes attached by a circular shape at the center, and by crisscrossed straps at the back, surely to attach the hat on top of the hair via hairpins. This is such a beautiful hat that surely will cause a sensation when worn today.Women’s 1930s hats were small and simple in decoration, yet their shaping was a work of art. Folded, molded, and angled felt made hats look like something out of a Picasso painting.There is no designer label, indicating it was a custom-made creation.This is an authentic piece of fashion history! This hat is in wonderful vintage condition & has been lovingly preserved among over 1300 vintage hats we have collected for 40+ years. Feathers, straw, flowers & veils are fragile, given their age.
