First book club edition, 13th printing hardcover copy of The Godfather by Mario Puzo (G.P. Putnam’s Sons, 1969). A rare vintage copy of this beloved crime / thriller / suspense novel of the mafia, the basis for the film franchise. Jacket now protected in new (removable) archival sleeve but with some rubbing/scuffing to faces and shelf wear around the edges - including chipping, creases and small tears. Larger torn area to bottom left corner of back cover extending onto bottom edge of rear liner flap. Boards are straight and clean but with corners slightly bumped. Binding material is faintly visible in a few gutters though spine is straight and binding remains firm on the whole. All pages clean and unmarked though tanned. See photos for condition.
